Description

All our activities stand out for being highly educational, motivating, and student-oriented.

We will start with a guided tour to the archaeological park, including an open-air walk with covered areas to protect visitors from the sun or rains. Students will go through different scenes about human evolution, finishing in the Neolithic era. You can also visit the area on the Roman world, where you will visit a Roman rural house that has been reconstructed from an original house in an archaeological site located in the nearby town of Pinto. During the visit we will provide the students with trivia about the life of Roman families, the games Roman children played, etc. Then we will continue with a workshop on Egypt.

We will go through the most relevant features and notions regarding the Egyptian civilization. We’ll discuss pharaohs, gods and mummies. More than 4,000 years ago, while dolmens were erected around Europe, Egyptians were already building pyramids, used a complex logographic alphabet, had irrigation systems, embalmed their dead, and ruled over vast territories thanks to a centralised administration. In the workshop, we will decorate a bas-relief.
